In the year 480 B.C., the Greeks and the Persians fight one of the most famous battles in history at a place called Thermopylae. Here, the mighty Persian war machine, which has conquered most of the known world, will attempt an expansion into Europe. The only thing standing in their way will be a small contingent of Greeks who are prepared to defend their homes and their families with uncharacteristic ferocity. The fighting will claim the lives of thousands and leave the walls of the pass smeared in blood. For three days the Persians will attack, for three days the Greeks will attempt to hold them off, and for the rest of history, the world will speak of the courage and sacrifice shown at Thermopylae.
